     I.                 Today I am Vanilla tea                               on balmy days when the air is still                               fresh with the scent of cicadas                                 and mown grass baked in the sun                               clippings stuck to your feet as you                               track them inside and onto the covers                               as you curl up beside her in bed                               curtains shading the room                               and it’s near too hot to drink tea                                 at all    II.                  Today
